    I agree with you! I had loads of fun there and used to go there regularly on the weekend while I was working in Singapore for about 2 years. I never experienced the bitter angry expats and being an expat it neither bitter nor angry. Maybe Riau Kepulauan is an asshole that nobody likes, which would explain why the regulars including the staff didn't like him. I don't like him already; and I haven't even met him.

    I used to go there in the late 90's and it was actually a fun place. I suppose things have changed. I was told that Micheal Cain was the owner or the major financier of the place and used to show up occasionally. That may be bullshit but everyone there insisted it was true. It's sad that it's not a fun place to be any more.
